Some of you may be aware that Department of Licensing offices in Washington State have been closed since the end of March. Earlier this week they made an announcement about reopening a select few of their offices for appointment only visits for services that can only been done in person (EX: Instruction permits, first time licenses, reinstatements, ID Cards etc.). However, now that Governor Inslee has required state employee furloughs, this will be delaying the opening of those DOL offices which is a huge deal for those that need a license or are participating in driver education and require a permit. DOL has created an online system to issue temporary instruction permits, however, the plan is at the Governor's office waiting for an executive order to be implemented. The below petition is an attempt to get the Governor to sign the order NOW! If you have a moment, please sign to help get our eligible teens learning how to drive!
