🐞 BUG CAMP RECAP 🕷️
From giant spider webs and bug hunts to frogs, bees, and nature crafts, Bug Camp was filled with wonder from start to finish. 🐞
The best learning happens when children are free to explore, create, ask questions, and get a little dirty along the way.
Thank you to all of our campers for a week full of adventure, laughter, and unforgettable discoveries. 🕷️🐝🐸🌿
And now we’re trading bugs for brushes! 🎨🌿 This week is Wild Art Camp, where campers will explore seeds, flowers, wind, and earth through nature-inspired art, outdoor creativity, and plenty of messy fun on the farm.
We can’t wait to see what they create! ☀️💛

☀️ Summer camp season is officially underway at Heritage Farm School!
While many local schools are wrapping up their final weeks, we kicked off our very first week of summer camp this morning with farm animals, garden adventures, parachute games, sunshine, and lots of smiling faces.
We’re so grateful to spend the next 9 weeks making memories, exploring outdoors, caring for animals, creating, playing, and enjoying all the simple joys of childhood on the farm.
Here’s to a summer filled with fun! 🌿☀️

Tiny boots in the grass, campfire smoke amongst the trees, muddy knees, curious minds, and another beautiful year on the farm coming to a close. 💛
This year, we had the joy of welcoming nearly 140 students to Heritage Farm School, from preschoolers to homeschool enrichment students, and what an incredible year it has been! Watching children learn, grow, create, explore, and simply get to be kids out here on the farm is something we never take for granted.
As we wrap up the school year and reflect on all the memories made around the campfire, in the gardens, through the woods, and within our classrooms, our hearts are so full of gratitude.
Thank you to our wonderful families, students, teachers, guest speakers, and community members who made this year so special. Heritage Farm School truly would not be what it is without all of you.
We hope your summer is filled with rest, adventure, sunshine, and sweet family memories.
The farm will now take a short pause as we prepare for summer camp season… and then we’ll see many of you right back here on the farm in June! ☀️🌿🐐

Our Heritage Farm School STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Art and Math!) Fair last Friday was such a success! 💚
We loved seeing students proudly share their projects, creations, experiments, artwork, inventions, and research with friends, family, and teachers. From glowing ecosystems and woodworking projects to animal studies, circuits, and hands-on science displays, the creativity and excitement in the room was incredible.
At Heritage Farm School, we believe learning should be hands-on, meaningful, and filled with curiosity, and this evening was such a beautiful reflection of that.
We’re so proud of our students and so grateful for this wonderful community! ✨

We don’t often share parent reviews publicly, but this one was so thoughtful and kind, and with permission from this sweet family, we wanted to share it!
As we near the end of the 2025–26 school year at Heritage Farm School, we’re feeling especially grateful for the families who have trusted us with these years. It’s truly an honor. 💛
“Three years ago, my wife and I made the best decision for our young children at that point. We choose to enroll our children into Heritage Farm School in their preschool classroom. From the first farm visit where we met Tara to the first day of classes, our children felt at home. I have spent over 35 years attending or working in the education systems of this state, and nowhere have I seen the compassion that Tara, Curtis, and the rest of the team show to each child and family member. I enrolled boy/girl twins when they were barely 3 years old and next week, they are walking out of kindergarten as 5-year-olds who have matured and blossomed with the care and attention that was provided at this school.
The farm curriculum that my children received is second to none. Each fall they learned about the changing weather and our solar system. They learned how to care for animals and plants. My children have made several great friends along the way.
Our son entered as a shy wallflower that did not want to talk to anyone or share with another person. He is now leaving school with multiple friends and many many more memories. Our daughter is leaving with confidence and energy to attempt anything she believes in. I cannot thank the staff enough for what they meant to my family and the lives of my children. It starts with Tara and Curtis. The preschool lead teacher Maria is amazing and welcomes my children as her own. The afternoon kindergarten staff of Mykala and Sophia have done nothing but help grow the imaginations of both children.
I truly wish as school like this was around when I grew up. The only reason my children will not be continuing their education in the Heritage program after this year is due to childcare issues. I will always recommend this school and all their programs to others in our community.”

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to the teachers of Heritage Farm School 🌿
To teach at a farm school is to embrace muddy boots, changing weather, busy little hands, and days that rarely look the same twice. It’s comforting big feelings, noticing tiny discoveries, and helping childhood unfold slowly and beautifully.
Our teachers pour so much heart into this place. They create warmth, wonder, and belonging in every corner of the farm. We are endlessly thankful for the patience, creativity, hard work, and love they give to our students each day. Thank you to our teachers! 💛

This week we wrapped up our April Read-a-Thon in the sweetest way… 🍦📚
We gathered together for our Popsicle & Paperback Picnic- spreading out blankets, sharing books, and soaking up the sunshine with our kids. It was such a special time to slow down and celebrate a month full of reading.
We were also so honored to welcome a special guest, local children’s author Kelly Bauer, who read her beautiful book “I Am the Tree” with our students. 🌳
Between stories in the sunshine, popsicles in hand, and even releasing butterflies to welcome spring… it was such a sweet way to close out the month together.
Thank you to all the families who came and made it such a special week! 💛

We say it every year: Every day is Earth Day at farm school! 🌎💛
Earlier this week, our classes spent time thoughtfully celebrating Earth Day together.
From flower exploring and garden work, to caring for our farm animals and building new garden beds, this is what it looks like.
Hands in the soil, learning through doing, and growing a love for the world around them! Happy Earth Day! 🌎
