These incredible humans wrapped up an inspiring spring season of Girls on the Run!!! Each one of them showed courage, strength, and heart when completing their 5K! Thank you to all the coaches, running buddies and volunteers who made this possible. Canβt wait for next season!

The Wallowa School District Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Rollie Marshall as Interim Superintendent/Elementary Principal for the 2026β2027 school year, effective July 1, 2026. Mr. Marshall, a retired and highly respected longtime Eastern Oregon educator, brings a wealth of experience, steady leadership, and a deep connection to the Wallowa community. As someone well-known to our staff and community, we are confident he will provide strong leadership during this important transition.
Over the coming months, Mr. Marshall and Superintendent Baxter will work closely together to ensure a thoughtful, intentional transition and a smooth leadership shift for students, staff, and families. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Board of Directors for their focused and deliberate efforts in securing strong leadership for the year ahead, while also preparing to launch a comprehensive search next October for Wallowaβs next permanent superintendent.
Please join us in welcoming Mr. Marshall to this role, and in thanking our exceptional staff for their resilience, professionalism, and continued commitment to making Wallowa School District an outstanding place for students to learn and thrive.

Books Bridging Generations is a school-based reading program coordinated by Building Healthy Families. Children in kindergarten and first grade are matched with volunteer reading mentors where we hope to help build a love for reading that lasts a lifetime! ππ
