The last two weeks, students were busy moving through stations and building important movement skills! From balancing and hopping to jumping and landing, every station gave them a chance to practice, challenge themselves, and have fun.

We kicked off running club at BES this week. Mon/Wed 3rd-6th and Tues/Thurs K-2nd. 293 students were up and moving before school Wednesday and Thursday!!

It’s time to kick off running club! Mondays and Wednesdays will be for 3rd-6th grade. Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for K-2nd. Until the new track area has been completed, we will meet at the playground area to run. We have had about 360 permission slips marked YES turned in across the whole school. It’s not too late to turn them in.

I was so excited to get to school early this morning to finish organizing our shoe closet!! THANK YOU so much to those that have donated gently loved shoes and our two new over the door organizers! Over the past two years we have been able to keep adding sizes for both boys and girls and have almost every size now. We’ve been able to give students shoes that need them and loan some out when their shoes break or if they wore shoes that made participating in PE difficult. Grateful to have this available for our students. 🩵❤️

Hey parents! If you are cleaning out this summer and have an over the door shoe organizer or two that you are getting rid of, the PE department will gladly take it off your hands. We have been collecting gently used sneakers (that we wash) for students that need them and currently have them in bins on a shelf and it is hard for them to find their size. We had several students last year that either broke their shoe during the day or had outgrown their tennis shoes and what a blessing it was to be able to get them in a pair and back to class or back to participating.
