Graphic Arts - Enterprise Career & Technology Center Art for the digital age… It involves using colors, shapes, lines, textures, and typography to communicate messages and create visually appealing compositions.

Graphic Arts students learn design fundamentals, principles, and industry-standard software skills in digital design within the Adobe suite of software. The Graphic Arts program at Enterprise Career & Technology Center is also an Adobe Authorized Testing Center, where students can obtain their Adobe Certified Professional certification in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Whether their goal is

post-secondary education or entering the workforce directly, Adobe certifications help them prove their skills and knowledge and gain the recognition they deserve. Graphic Arts encompass a wide range of visual artistic disciplines, both traditional and digital, involving the creation, manipulation, and arrangement of images, text, and other visual elements. Graphic artists or designers utilize software tools to create engaging designs for mediums such as print, digital media, advertising, packaging, web design, and more. With its importance in advertising, marketing, publishing, and entertainment, graphic arts continually adapt to new technologies and design trends, allowing artists to explore innovative approaches to visual storytelling and creative expression.

Our Advanced Graphic Arts students had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with ECTC’s J.A.G. program on a real-world design project—creating custom tabletop wraps for their classroom!

From the initial client meetings with Mrs. Bradley to the printing, production, and final installation, students worked both individually and as a team to bring this project to life. Wendy, Alex, Caleb, Madison, and Lillian stepped into lead design roles, developing creative concepts and collaborating to make each table truly unique.

The final designs are not only visually stunning—they also incorporate classroom rules, learning strategies, and even a fun "Where’s Waldo"-style element for added engagement.

I’m beyond proud of these students for their dedication, creativity, and hard work. The results speak for themselves!

A big shoutout to Lucy for securing 1st place and Madison for earning 3rd place in the Alabama SkillsUSA State Pin Design competition! Your hard work, dedication to your craft, and commitment to are truly unmatched!

Next up: The Alabama Leadership & Skills Conference in April, where they’ll officially receive their well-earned medals and recognition. 🥇🥉

Lucy will be headed to the National Leadership & Skills Competition this summer in Atlanta, where she’ll compete alongside 6,500 other top students, representing Alabama on the big stage!
