Every student writes differently—so I plan differently.

Inside my process:
🔹 I look at age, strengths, writing samples, and parent goals
🔹 I build weekly plans that are structured but flexible
🔹 I set clear writing targets that meet students where they are

These quick slides show how I shape writing goals around real learners, not templates.

🎥 Take a look and let me know if you’re curious what this could look like for your child.

📝 Writing Prompt of the Week
🎁 The Mysterious Package 🎁

A plain cardboard box appears on your doorstep.
No return address. No note.
Just your name.

What’s inside the box?
Who sent it?
What happens next?

💡 This prompt works for these grade levels:

Grades 4–5: Describe the box and what’s inside. How do you feel when you open it?

Grades 6–8: Create a short story with a twist. Add suspense!

👇 Parents, try this at home with your writer—and share their favorite line in the comments!

✏️ Parent Tip: Make Writing a Game
Struggling to get your child to write this summer? Try turning it into a game!

Here are a few fun, low-pressure ways to sneak in writing practice:

🎲 Roll-a-Story: Use dice to choose characters, settings, and plot twists!
🕵️ Secret Messages: Write notes in invisible ink (lemon juice!) and decode them.
🎁 Prompt Jar: Fill a jar with silly prompts and draw one a day.

When writing feels playful, kids are more likely to stick with it — and actually enjoy the process.

✨ Writing doesn’t have to mean essays or red pens. It can be laughter, creativity, and confidence.
