Today all members of the EJHS band participated in Solo and Ensemble Contest. 160 1st division medals were earned. Congratulations on a job well done.

Tuesday the Honors and Symphonic Band will perform at the Soundpost Music Festival in Canton, Tx. The performance is free to the public. Symphonic Band will perform at 12:30pm and Honors Band will perform at 12:45pm. This will be their final performance of the 2021-2022 school year.

Tomorrow night at 7:00pm the Ennis Junior High School Band will be presenting their Spring Concert. The concert will feature all 3 performing groups. The concert will be held at the High School auditorium. We look forward to seeing you there

The Ennis JH band will be kicking off a fundraiser tomorrow beginning at 4:00. Simply put it is pledge fund raiser done through Fan Pledge. We are asking all JH band students to come up with a list of 20 people or as many as they can, that they believe would be willing to pledge donations. The money raised goes towards everything band related including instruments, music, food to feed the band students, and trips. Tomorrow at 4:00 there will be a “blitz” where students will take that list of contacts after school and call, text, or email as many people on that list as possible. The goal is to raise and much money as we can in 45 minutes. Afterwards, there will be a time period where students will continue to raise funds. If you have any students that are in the JH band, please encourage them to finish their contact lists before tomorrow and be ready for tomorrow’s blitz. Looking forward to a successful fundraiser.

Today the Ennis JH Symphonic band and Honors Band performed at the UIL concert and sight reading evaluation at Waxahachie High School. Both bands received the highest rating possible and they received the coveted sweepstakes trophy. All six judges gave each band a first division superior rating. Congratulations on a job well done.

Next Thursday the Ennis Junior High School Band will be performing at UIL Concert and Sight reading Contest. Symphonic Band will be performing at 9:00AM and Honors Band will be performing at 4:00PM. Performance location will be at Waxahachie High School and is free to the public.

We are very proud of our Lion Marching Band and their performance at the State Contest yesterday. Although they did not win, they can hold their heads high and always remember the experience. Congratulations to them all.

Congratulations to the 2021 Ennis High School Marching Band!! They have advanced to the Inaugural UIL STATE MILITARY MARCHING BAND CONTEST!! The Band qualified for the State Contest by receiving a unanimous First Division rating at the UIL Region contest hosted at Ennis Lion Memorial Stadium on Monday, October 18th, 2021. The Band has now received 46 consecutive First Division ratings and 64 First Division ratings in their 65 year UIL history. They will be performing at Pine Tree High School in Longview, TX on Wednesday, October 27th at 1:00pm for the State Contest Prelim performance.
