GROWW Program

GROWW Program GROWW is an educational program unique for students in Ennis Schools. It stands for "Gardens, Resour Response was robust and exciting!

In 2010, Madison Farm to Fork and Madison Conservation District began engaging students, teachers and the community in gardening, nutrition, agriculture, and watershed projects using AmeriCorps service members. The flagship of the program continues to be the beautiful school garden, built by the students and community. The garden serves as an ideal outdoor classroom for science, Native American st

udies, nutrition lessons, and service projects. In 2015, groups stepped up to fund the effort on a more permanent basis as the Garden, Resources, Outdoors, Wildlife, and Watershed (GROWW) Program. The GROWW Program is successfully working to its fullest capacity, and is ready to expand with your help!

July Good Thymes Camp is off to a great start……we had such a great day with North Western Energy biologists and Jeff Lazlo on Granger's O'Dell Creek Ranch. Identifying all the tiny life in the stream, tracking trout with telemetry, and surveying for artifacts.
The day ended floating down the natural water slide of Valley Garden FAS.

Day 2 of Camp. Thanks to Jack Creek Preserve for hosting us again this year! We learned how to use a compass from Sophie and Addison and found treasure at the end of our course. We made it back to school with enough time to write in our journals. Which some kids love…..others not so much🤩

Have you ever climbed the "E" above town? June Good Thymes Camp is off and running! Or climbing, to the top. See the view!

Day 1 began with a little garden work, weeding and setting up the last bed ( for now). After the E adventure, we visited a classmates little farm menagerie of ALL kinds of animals, pretty cool.
