🌟 A BIG WIN FOR ZARA TODAY! 🌟
Today was such an exciting day in class! Zara has never shown much interest in tracing activities for me before, but today I introduced our new paint markers, and they completely changed the experience for her. 🎨🖍️
Not only was Zara willing to participate—she traced 9 whole papers! 👏💗 She stayed engaged, explored different colors, and worked hard from one page to the next.
Activities like tracing support several important areas of early development, including fine-motor strength, hand-eye coordination, visual-motor integration, pre-writing skills, pencil/marker control, attention, and task persistence. Finding a tool or sensory experience that motivates a child can also make a huge difference in their willingness to participate and learn.
Today was a wonderful reminder that sometimes it’s not about whether a child can do an activity—it’s about finding the approach that helps them connect with it. Zara found hers today with paint markers, and she did AMAZING! 🦋🎨
Nine pages is a huge accomplishment, and we are so proud of her progress! 💕
