Meadow's class has been exploring snow with arctic animals, including watching it melt and then putting it in the freezer to see what happens. Sensory tables provide hands-on, play-based learning that fosters early childhood development across multiple domains. Key learning outcomes include developing fine motor skills (pouring, scooping), grasping basic scientific/mathematical concepts (volume, weight, capacity), strengthening language skills through description, enhancing social skills (sharing, taking turns), and improving emotional regulation through calming, repetitive actions

The Garden class put feathers on a line to build a turkey. This activity offered opportunities to follow 2 step directions and to practice cooperation in a group project. We also worked our physical skills by walking on the lines! Learning in the outdoor classroom gives the children time in fresh air and sunshine while developing skills♥️

The Meadow class adopted a calf that we get to see through photos and videos. To go with learning all about dairy cows, I bought a stuffed cow and a journal that they sell to go along with lessons. My students are loving to be able to take home, draw a picture of what they did, and write it all out. This week being election week I am asking everyone to please go vote for our calf Atlee. It is free to vote. Voting ends tomorrow.

This week the Meadow's class is learning about what grows on trees. We examined, felt, smelt, and tasted different types of fruits that grow on trees. We then grafted which ones we liked, did not like, or did not want to taste.
