TACT is taking a big bite out of the Big Apple!

Thanks to the incredible support of the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation, along with Tao Group Hospitality, The Fedcap Group, and Civic Hall, neurodiverse students are gaining hands-on culinary training and a direct pathway to future careers in New York City.

The best part? This program is being offered free to participating students because of Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation generous investment in opportunity and workforce development.

From Colorado to New York, TACT is helping students turn passion into profession.

How do you teach a smile?

At TACT, we believe you don't teach a smile, you inspire one.

This week marked the first day of TACT Summer Camp, where students won't just learn new skills, they'll build confidence, friendships, and futures.

Sometimes the most powerful tool in the room isn't a wrench, a screwdriver , or a hammer.
It's the smile that appears when someone realizes:

"I can do this."

Do you know the power of the 4 E’s: Encourage. Empower. Educate. Employ.

TACT’s graduation & celebration.

Hundreds of TACT staff, families, friends, partners, and supporters came together to celebrate students who pushed beyond barriers, exceeded expectations, and proved what is possible when opportunity meets determination.

It is proof that empowerment is bigger than a smile, bigger than a toolbox, and bigger than hands-on training.

It is belief.
Belief in students who were too often underestimated.
Belief in futures that others said were impossible.
Belief that adversity does not define potential.

The world talks about workforce shortages.
Maybe the future workforce has been waiting for someone to believe in them all along.

On this day, TACT celebrated more than achievement.
We celebrated the potential of tomorrow!

What happens when belief meets opportunity?

Lives change.

TACT was incredibly honored to welcome the Daniels Fund team for a tour of TACT and to share the continued growth, vision, and impact being created through hands-on education and workforce development for the neurodiverse community.

This relationship, built over more than many years through the leadership of Becky Mershon, VP Programs, Operations & Interim President, TACT and Kevin Tarrant, Board Chair, has been rooted in something far greater than funding. It has been built on belief.

Belief from Hanna Skandera, President & CEO, and the entire Daniels Fund team that individuals deserve not just support, but a hand-up, the opportunity to improve their lives, discover purpose, and eventually help others along the way.

That belief helped make the TACT Carbondale location possible, expanding opportunities for hands-on learning, workforce training, and meaningful futures for students and families.

At TACT, we often say that when someone believes in a student, confidence begins to grow. When a community believes in a mission, futures begin to change.

TACT is excited to explore a powerful collaboration with BedRock Technology and their innovative OverWatch system, connecting advanced manufacturing, workforce development, and real-world career pathways for neurodiverse students.

With proprietary targeting software, a physics-driven damping system, and a 30x HD optical camera, OverWatch brings precision, safety, accountability, and innovation to the skilled trades industry.

What excites TACT most is the opportunity for our students to be part of the future of manufacturing, technology, safety systems, and hands-on innovation.

We are especially grateful to Wade Bradshaw and Phillip Walker of BedRock Technology for their leadership, vision, and commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for the next-generation workforce.

The future workforce is not coming.
It’s already here.

Today, we celebrate the hearts behind every milestone, the mothers.

The ones who never stop believing.
The ones who comfort through the hard days, cheer through the victories, and love with endless strength and grace.

The ones who see light and possibility in their children long before the world can.

To every mom, grandmother, caregiver, and mother figure in our community, thank you for the countless ways you show up with love, even when no one is watching.

Your love leaves a lasting impact.
