ESA is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that teaches affordable, small boat sailing to kids and adults. New volunteers encouraged to inquire.
The Englewood Sailing Association, Inc. is a spin-off from the Lemon Bay Rag Haulers, a sailing and social organization, founded in 1990. The Rag Haulers started a very successful Youth Sailing Program in the Spring of 2002. In cooperation with the Englewood YMCA, thirty-four volunteers worked with nineteen youngsters in a four week program. The program included boating safety and hands on sailing

ESA visited Sail Technologies in St Pete on Saturday. President Tom Barry gave us an outstanding presentation that explain how sails work and all the special sewing machines and laser cutters work. Then we went to Sunken Gardens and enjoyed sandwiches and cannolis catered from Mazzaros.

🥁 Drum roll…🥁ESA was able to raise $31,000+ after match in donations during the 24 hour Giving Challenge! We can’t thank our incredible community and all who donated enough- thank you supporting us, and we hope to see you out on the water soon!❤️⛵️

From time spent outdoors and on the water, to confidence and capability being built within- sailing is a gift, and one we are passionate about sharing with our community.
