Travel & Tourism Day with Junior Leadership Englewood

Started with breakfast from Original Word of Mouth, then tandem kayaking with SUP Englewood, followed by a boat ride from Abel’s Marine. Got dropped off at Rum Bay for lunch, and ended the day at Palm Island and Palm Island Resort & Marina.

Best day ever. See you at graduation!

Last month, our Junior leadership class was honored to be welcomed at HCA Healthcare for our healthcare day! We got to see how Englewood Community Hospital impacts our community every day and meet the incredible staff behind the hospital. Thank you to Julie Beatty, Dickies Pizza , Uncle Louie G of Port Charlotte, and Englewood Fire Station 76 for an unforgettable event!

A cold but amazing day! Junior Leadership kicked off the morning riding in golf carts from Thoroughbred Golf Carts, then warmed up with delicious coffee at The Dearborn Coffeehouse. We visited Green Street Church (Lemon Bay Historical Society) and the Englewood Museum to learn more about Englewood’s history and brainstorm ideas for the Cracker Fair. Our arts journey took us to the Art Alliance, where we learned about local artists and even saw artwork from two of our own Junior Leadership students on display. We then headed to Old Florida Gallery to visit Nichole Moranda Arts and create pinch pots using natural elements. We enjoyed lunch from Chaz 51 Steakhouse, heard from Toby Delbridge, and wrapped up the day at Lemon Bay Playhouse with Whimsea, Dan Schuemate and Andrew from Coastal Jams. Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a special day.
