Singing nursery rhymes with children is not only fun but is an important step in helping them learn to rhyme. Children who know how to rhyme have higher success learning to read. Some of the rhymes we do at school are:
"Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star"
"Hickory Dickory Dock"
"Jack and Jill"
"The Itsy Bitsy Spider"
and "Humpty Dumpty" is always a favorite to act out.

This week at ECE we are learning about bus safety.
This week the preschoolers are learning all about colors, art words, and sorting things that are the same and different. Color experiments and mixing are so much fun.
What an amazing first day of preschool! It was so fun to see all of the happy and smiling faces of 3 and 4 year olds today!

After weeks of trainings, room preparation, and home visits, the staff at Maddox is so ready for school to start Monday!
August 19 - August 25: Home visits for all families. We enjoy taking this time to meet all children and their families before school starts. Thank you for helping children to make their first connection with their teachers.
