Congratulations to rising ninth graders Maddie M. and Alex Z. on earning third place at this year's Middle School World Affairs Challenge! Through extensive research, critical thinking, and public speaking, Maddie and Alex examined the issue of veteran su***de and proposed solutions to improve access to mental health resources for Colorado veterans.
Judges praised their thoughtful approach to a topic that is often overlooked, recognizing both the importance of the issue and the strength of their work. We are proud of these students for using their voices to address a real-world challenge and make a meaningful impact.

A record-breaking 39 juniors have signed up for our Alumnae Sisters program, highlighting the power of sisterhood through the SMA experience! We're looking for more alumnae who would like to volunteer as an Alumnae Sister. Over the next two years, you'll connect with your sister, offering mentorship, guidance, and friendship as their official Alumnae Sister.
Pairs will meet at the Alumnae Sisters Kickoff Coffee on Wednesday, September 9, at 8 a.m., or virtually if the Alumna is not local. After that, you can connect with your alumnae sister as often as you both would like.

Once again, our High School students went above and beyond their service requirements. Year after year, our students lean in, find causes they are passionate about, and dedicate their time and skillsets to make an impactful change in our community. Check out some of the stats from this past year!

This spring, our Lower School students explored how they can help protect one of Earth's most precious resources: water. ππ
From PreK ocean artwork to fourth-grade sea turtle sculptures and a collaborative Earth Day weaving, students used creativity to share messages of care for our planet. They were also inspired by visiting artist Emma Balder, who showed how recycled fiber materials can be transformed into beautiful works of art.
As part of the Unique & United Project, all 266 Lower School students contributed artwork celebrating connection, empathy, and community. Their creativity helped raise $1,330 to support organizations fostering global connection around the world.

In April, 11 High Schoolers traveled to Atlanta to compete at DECA's International Career Development Conference! These SMirls competed in the events they qualified for via their DECA State Conference placements, explored Atlanta, and networked with DECA students from across the country! It was a great way to round out another successful year of our DECA program!
