It really has been a blast & we are definitely the lucky ones to have had the privilege of looking after some wonderful families # # # # #

What a journey...
Today we closed our childminding doors for the final time.

We had a fantastic afternoon celebrating with all our families and mindees. A barbecue, pimms & watching the children all play together.

We have been thoroughly spoilt by our families & we are so grateful. You are all so very kind & generous, thank you!

Over the past 6.5 years, we have had the pleasure to care for so many lovely children & watch them grow and develop.
The families we have been blessed to work with have made our journey even better.

The children become our extended family & it is always so sad when one goes onto their next journey.
It's even harder when it's all of them at once..

We have had a fabulous 6.5 years making memories, helping the children learn and grow and most importantly, enjoy themselves through play.

It's very bitter sweet closing our business but we are onto our next adventures now and our mindees are ready for theirs too.

We would like to thank every single family we have ever had the pleasure of working with, all the mindees we've had as our extended family & all the memories we have made.

It's been quite a journey at K&E Childcare & we are very sad to be closing our doors but onwards and upwards to pastures new.

There's always a learning opportunity in everything..😉👀

Today, we found a frog in an outside cupboard. It was very lethargic & we imagine, quite dehydrated after being stuck in there however long!
We popped it in some shallow water as if they are dry, they cannot absorb oxygen as easily, and waited half an hour or so.
The children were very excited to see a frog & we grabbed the magnifying glasses to take a closer look whilst it was so still...

We spoke about its body parts, what frogs eat & why it may have been hiding in the cupboard.

Once it showed a bit more enthusiasm🐸(but still not jumping), we walked over to our local pond and let it go into the long grass nearby some algae where it could feed from.

The children are eager to head back tomorrow to see if it has "jumped away".🐸🐸
A lovely learning experience for all the children.
