St. Bernard School

It was an honor attending the Chrism Mass at our Mother Church, St. Joseph Cathedral, with our 7th and 8th grade students. Our students even got to take a picture with Archbishop Christopher Coyne.

Congratulations to Mrs. Hurlburt & Mrs. Pernal on your 10 year anniversary at LA & SBS! Your dedication to our schools and students is very much appreciated and respected. Thanks for being amazing women and teachers who inspire our young children each and every day! 💚

Today we enjoyed two guest teachers in the Library Media Center, courtesy of the school auction. Both students did a great job assisting Mrs. Leahy and Mrs. Lavoie with their classes. Thank you, Liam and Lulu (and their families for supporting the school through our auction!)

SBS will be following a 2 hour delayed opening today 3/4/26. Please be safe on the roads.

SBS will be closed today 3/3 due to the timing of precipitation. Please be safe. All after school and evening events are also cancelled.

SBS will be following a 3 hour delayed opening on Tuesday, February. 24th. Hot lunch and milk sales will not be offered, but students should bring a bagged lunch. We will alter lunch times for K-5 just a bit, middle school lunch schedules will remain the same as a normally scheduled day. Please be safe!

SBS is closed on Monday, February 23rd. All after school activities are also canceled. Please be safe.

Due to the inclement weather Choir practice for today 2/20/26 is cancelled. All students will go home their normal way unless you notify the office of a change before 2:30pm.

Celebrating the 100th Day of School at SBS like it was 1926. 😊

Congratulations to Jordana for scoring in the top 5 of over 140 students who took the Pope Francis High School entrance exam this past fall (not an easy feat). Big Red, Pope's Mascot, as well as the President and Admissions director came to SBS to present Jordana with her acceptance letter and merit scholarship! We are so very proud of Jordana and her wonderdul accomplishment. Proud and humble moment for sure as the school community and her family were able to share this special moment together! 💚

Wednesday was Animal Print Day at SBS! Looking high and low around the school to find those GNOMES! Keep up the good work on catching the GNOMES...more will be released each day, leading up to a surprise for one lucky student!
