We are just 10 days away from our March 15th priority deadline for applying to the 2026 Chosen Vale International Trumpet Seminar! Apply by March 15th for priority consideration for financial aid and acceptance to the seminar.

After March 15th, we will continue to review applications on a rolling basis as spots remain.

This is our 20th anniversary season, and is going to be an incredibly inspiring year. We already have some of the most exciting young trumpeters from around the world attending this year, so don't wait to apply if you want the opportunity to come together for an amazing two weeks of learning from the masters, sharing musical inspiration, and forming important connections.

Inspired by his time at Chosen Vale, John Wallace wrote a fiendishly difficult trio for three trumpets in 2015, creatively entitled 'Chosen Vale.' John knew that the level of playing at CV (and beyond) is always growing and his contributions to the repertoire always pushed the boundary of what is possible on the instrument. Three of our artistic director Ed Carroll's students recently recorded the second movement, 'Between.' Here is that performance, featuring Ulysse Derrien, Antonio Fiorenza, and Angel Ruiz of Bard Conservatory. Rumor has it that this piece might make an appearance at the seminar this summer. It is with profound sadness that we must announce the passing of our dear colleague and founder John Wallace early this morning. An extraordinary musician, educator, scholar and friend, he will be so deeply missed by all who knew and worked with him, and most especially by the music and brass community around the world.
