🌽 A day full of FALL fun! 🍂

Mrs. Cox’s 2nd graders had a blast at Bandy’s Pumpkin Patch! From playing in the corn pit 🌽 to racing down the slide in the play barn and bouncing away on the jumping pillow, our second graders made the most of their pumpkin patch adventure! 🧡

So many smiles, so much laughter, and memories made with friends! What a perfect way to celebrate the fall season! 🍁🤎

🧪🌊 6th Grade Science Lab! 🌊🧪

Our 6th graders had a hands-on learning experience as they experimented with natural sea sponges! 🧽 Students tested the natural sponges to see if they could hold more water than artificial kitchen sponges.
We love seeing our students learning through hands-on experiments, making predictions, testing their ideas, and discovering the results for themselves! 🔬💧
Great job, 6th grade!

First grade and Kindergarten had a special visit from Justin Craig, an SIU police officer, who came to talk with us about what it’s like being a police officer. 👮‍♂️ He shared some insight into his job, experiences, and what it takes to serve and protect the community. We really enjoyed learning more about the work he does!

Thank you, Officer Craig, for taking the time to visit UCS!
