Continental Ancient Fife & Drum Corps.

Continental Ancient Fife & Drum Corps. The Continental Fife & Drum corps. was established in 1954. The Continentals are based in Endicott NY. We play colonial music of the revolutionary war.

Endicott is privileged to have “The Continental Ancient Fife & Drum Corps of Endicott” in the village. The Corps was originally formed by Acton Ostling, as part of the U-E music program in 1936. The “Colonials” were a unique and popular performing group until 1952 when it was disbanded as a school function. In1954 the Colonial members reformed as the “Continental Ancient Fife & Drum Corps of Endic

ott. The uniforms and music represent the Revolution War era . The Corps is dedicated to preserving the tradition of fife and drum music in the area while having fun doing so. We are one of the few Corps in New York State and are in great demand for parades and performances throughout the northeast. We also travel to musters in the New England area, where there may be up to 50 Corps marching and playing together. We also enjoy participating in the “Good Will Days” between United States and Canada in the Thousand Island area. We accept members from teenagers through seniors. The uniforms, equipment and lessons are furnished by the Corps. Rehearsals are Wednesday night @ 7:00 PM at the American Legion Post 1700, 305 Maple St. Endicott, NY. We welcome new members to join and have fun with us while preserving history. You may contact Donna @ 607/748-9633 or e-mail [email protected].
