Meet Dr. Gina Green, the force behind pioneering work in behavior analytic interventions for individuals with autism and other developmental disorders. As former Director of Research at the New England Center for Children, faculty member at multiple universities, and co-founder and CEO of the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts, she has shaped how we understand and implement evidence-based interventions, the professional practice of ABA, and behavior analytic health care services.

On Thursday, January 30, Dr. Green joins Dr. Sigmund Eldevik in a webinar to share dosage recommendations for early intensive ABA intervention derived from nearly 40 years of scientific research. Sign up today to explore these significant findings. https://bit.ly/3E4m89c

Applied Behavior Analysts use clinical terms that can sound like jargon to a layman. In our community, it’s important to use precise language reinforced by research and data. In Defining ABA, we’ll clarify what some of these terms mean. Today let’s talk about dosage.

Most people understand dosage to mean the amount of medication needed to treat an illness or condition. When an ABA refers to dosage, they mean the same thing but in reference to intervention intensity. How much time is required to help a child diagnosed with autism reach the best treatment outcome? It’s important to match the dosage to each individual’s unique needs.

Want to learn more? Behavioral Learning Network is hosting a webinar Thursday January 30, that offers insights into the relation between dosage and outcomes for children diagnosed with ASD. Join leading experts Dr. Sigmund Eldevik and Dr. Gina Green to unpack a comprehensive analysis of research spanning nearly four decades. Reserve your spot now: https://bit.ly/3E4m89c

MYTH: 40 hours of treatment per week doesn’t leave time for kids diagnosed with autism to be kids.

That’s not what the data show. ABA blends structured and unstructured, play-based procedures to reach 40 hours of weekly intervention. Research shows the positive relation between treatment intensity and child outcomes like:

👉 social skills
👉 language development
👉 adaptive functioning
👉 cognitive functioning
