What you think vs. What you say Lesson

Learning about appropriate thoughts to say out loud vs. keeping in a thought bubble is an important skill to learn. If everyone said everything they thought, others might think they were rude, and conflict might increase.

Remember, we cannot take back something that we have already said.

Self-control is the ability to stop and think before making decisions. This involves pausing when our emotions want to take over so we can:

💡Think through the situations
🌟Consider the solutions
💡Evaluate the consequences
🌟Move forward with the best choice in that scenario

Self-control also builds responsibility for one's actions and consequences. This month, the Social Skills Training Academy will cover self-control.
