We’re back with another look at the familiar faces who help make OLG such a special place, long before they were teachers, mentors, and staff members, they were students too!

Last night’s PTO Movie Night was such a fun way to bring our OLG community together!

A great evening for our students to hang out with friends while parents had a chance to connect and enjoy the night too.

We especially loved seeing some of our OLG alumni back on campus enjoying the evening with us!

Today, our Grades 3-8 gathered in the Parish Hall for a special 9/11 Memorial Video Presentation as we remembered the events of September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we pause to remember the lives lost, the heroes who served, and the lasting impact of that day on our nation.

Mrs. Baker also shared her personal account of September 11, 2001, and her memories of that day at Our Lady of Grace, giving our students a meaningful glimpse into the history they have only learned about through textbooks and stories.

Before they became teachers and staff, before they became part of our students’ stories, they had a school story of their own.

We’re taking a look at the familiar faces who make up the OLG community then and now.

From their own days as students to the educators, mentors, and staff members they are today, these photos remind us that every teacher and staff member was once a child sitting in a classroom, learning, growing, and dreaming about what the future might hold.

Still smiling about last Thursday!

Our 7th & 8th graders kicked off the school year with a Welcome Back Dance in the Parish Hall and it was such a fun afternoon!

From dancing and music to lots of laughs with friends, a great time was had by all!

“I am excited about joining the OLG community because it feels like coming back to my roots. I am excited to be a part of such a welcoming and loving community!”

2. What’s a fun fact about you that might surprise our OLG families?
“I am a certified Pilates instructor and have been teaching for about 10 years!”

3. What’s your go-to coffee or morning drink?
“I loooooove coffee! My go-to order is an almond milk latte, iced or hot!”

4. What’s one thing that always makes you smile?
“Spending time with my family and friends.”

Meet our new TK Teacher: Ms Olivia Borgioli!

We’re so excited to welcome Ms. Borgioli to OLG and introduce her to our Lion family!

Get to know the newest teacher of our Little Lions:

1. What made you want to become a teacher?
“I have always had a love for learning, working with children, and helping them discover all that they are capable of. There is something so special about being able to see a child learn and grow in front of your eyes!”

2. What are you most excited about for your first year at OLG?
“I am most excited to build lifelong connections with my students and their families!”

3. What was your favorite thing about school when you were little?
“My favorite thing about school was visiting the library and picking out a new book to read each week. My favorite books were from the Biscuit series and Rainbow Magic!”

4. If you could be any children’s book character for a day, who would you be?
“I would be The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Not only is it my favorite children’s book, but I think it would be pretty fun to eat my way through all of those delicious foods!”

5. What’s one fun fact your students might be surprised to learn about you?
“I studied abroad in Florence, Italy, and even got the opportunity to teach first graders while I was there!”

6. Coffee order or favorite morning treat?
“My go-to coffee order is an iced chai latte with oat milk!”

Last Friday, our School Families worked together to color and decorate individual letters, without knowing what the final message would say!

Happy Monday, Lions!

We kicked off our Monday Morning Assembly by celebrating the start of Welcome Week! This week is all about making sure our new students feel right at home and reminding them that they are officially part of our OLG family.

We also celebrated our first Character Voucher recipients of the school year! These Lions were recognized for demonstrating our Schoolwide Learning Expectations (SLEs) and setting a wonderful example for our school community and they’ve earned FREE DRESS tomorrow!

What a great way to start the week.
