Your support in action! 💙 During the 2025–2026 school year, the EUSD Special Education Parent Council awarded $2,075 in mini grants to teachers and staff across six EUSD schools.

These grants helped fund inclusive recess and lunch activities, accessible learning materials, social and emotional learning opportunities, hands-on activities, and resources that help students of all abilities learn, play, connect, and belong together.

Every restaurant night, fundraiser, donation, and community partnership helps make opportunities like these possible. Thank you to our EUSD community for supporting inclusion in our schools! 💛

¡Tu apoyo en acción! 💙 Durante el año escolar 2025–2026, el Consejo de Padres de Educación Especial de EUSD otorgó $2,075 en mini subvenciones a maestros y personal de seis escuelas de EUSD.

Amanda Reuther and Kelly Sullivan, Co-Presidents of the EUSD Special Education Parent Council, were honored with the Collaborative Parents Award by the North Coastal Consortium for Special Education, representing 14 districts.

In their nomination, Amanda and Kelly were recognized for leading a district-wide organization that creates inclusive, community-based events for students of all abilities, while centering the needs of families of children with disabilities. Their work has helped model more inclusive practices across schools and districts, including initiatives like Inclusion in Action.

In their acceptance, they shared that this work has never been about individuals, but about what is possible when families, educators, and districts come together with a shared purpose.

This recognition reflects a community that continues to show up for every child.
