PAE’s Applied Learning Program thoughtfully connects academic content from the classroom to real life. Here students are pictured tending to their garden in an effort to answer an essential question, “How do I get the things that I need?” This 9-week lesson series uses a variety of health, math, science, history, and English language arts core content connecting content from grades Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Attending high school at Pacific Academy Encinitas means your classrooms never have any more than 11 other students, so the teachers quickly know your personality, talents, passions and areas marked for growth. You'll begin to know all your peers on a deeper level as those smaller class sizes allow more time for discussion, group work and the sharing of school work. We are small by design. Recently, Pacific Academy Encinitas student, Andrew Jung has made very impressive achievements with golf. He won an AJGA tournament and was invited to compete on the KPGA Korean Tour at the KEB Hana Bank Invitational Golf Tournament.
Andrew also received 4th place in PING Heather Farr Classic. His AJGA national ranking raised from No. 58 to No. 36 this school year.
With Pacific Academy's ability to create an individualized academic program for Andrew, he has been able to better focus his talents in golf and achieve his academic goals at the same time.

Summer vacation is here! The students of Pacific Academy have worked hard throughout the school year and are now looking forward to the many pleasures that Summer brings.
As a small by design school, Pacific Academy ensures that each student is seen and heard. Our purposeful low teacher to student classroom ratios (1:12), allows us to directly address individual learning styles within a small group environment.
Pacific Academy Encinitas will remain open this Summer for any prospective families interested in a tour of our school. Come see what we have to offer! Feel free to email or call us to schedule a tour.

For their final exam, Music Theory 2 students were placed into groups and asked to create an original song. This song composition assignment required students to create verses and a chorus, bridges, and leads, harmonies, and original lyrics, etc. Students, in their new band, also had to record their original composition and email it to Mr. Jones by 10 pm on Thursday, May 23rd for him to evaluate the structure of the original song. Johnny Lizard and the Chairmen (a.k.a. Jalal, Aleksei, and Mac) decided to not only record their song but to also make a music video for their song as well. Check their video out here:

In order for Economics students to better understand the business world, they became businessmen and businesswomen and engaged in the creation of sole proprietorships. Students created new business ideas, logos, prototypes, and a business pitch in the hopes of possibly earning a deal with potential investors, Shark Tank style! Like the hit TV show, students became entrepreneurs and created brand new, unique businesses and then pitched those businesses to six different Sharks and an audience of their fellow schoolmates.
