Feel free to reach out if you have specific questions - we'd love to help any way we can.

How To Talk With Kids About Terrible Things The school shooting in Parkland, Fla., has children all over the country asking difficult questions. Here are a few tips for their parents and teachers.

Erik and I had an incredible experience today leading almost 30 people through some of our mindful games. Only 12 people pre-signed up. Our PowerPoint technology failed. And yet we got to guide our Play, Presence and Pitfalls workshop to a phenomenal group who asked great questions and really showed up. So grateful to get to be doing this work! To build stronger connection and deeper awakeness with ourselves , our teams, and our world.

Daniel Goleman on Emotions, Wellbeing & Mindfulness • Six Seconds 01/02/2018

Wellbeing, an active, awake, vibrant state of open attention, flourishes from the inside out. We can't chase it and we can't buy it. What we can do: develop a silent stillness practice.

"If you meditate, it turns out this strengthens the circuits in your brain that help you react less, be triggered less, and recover more quickly, which is what we call resilience.

Even at the beginning people get a better sense of of what they truly want and better ability to focus. Instead of being compelled by what is maybe seductively presented to them, they have more control of their attention."

Daniel Goleman on Emotions, Wellbeing & Mindfulness • Six Seconds “Ultimate wellbeing has nothing to do with what's outside us,” says Daniel Goleman. What would happen if we could fully take charge of our own wellbeing... and what's the neuroscience that will help make it so?

Neuroscientists have identified how exactly a deep breath changes your mind 11/25/2017

Stressed? Take a deep breath! Changing the way you breathe can change your brain, which may in turn allow you to help you focus and improve your emotional state.

Researchers from Northwestern and North Shore University Hospital found that controlling your air intake, and even just focusing on breathing, gives extra access to parts of your brain and even increases the interaction between different regions.

Neuroscientists have identified how exactly a deep breath changes your mind During times of stress, or when heightened concentration is needed, focusing on one’s breathing or doing breathing exercises can indeed change the brain.

Coaching: Leading from Beside 11/21/2017

Check out this article published today by me, Abbey Jones, on Coaching. Did you know that Erik, Alexis, and I all offer leadership coaching using a mindfulness framework? We do!

It is only because of mindfulness that we can first be clear about our own leadership stance so that we can serve you.

To free up our clients to take new action, we lead from beside. "A great coach isn’t solving on behalf of the coachee, but serves as a facilitator of self-reflection and creative problem-solving."

If you're looking for a coach for professional and personal development, consider us, the PRISM team, who use methods backed by evidence-based practices on neuroscience.
