Dragons and Fairies and Witches oh my!! As the Halloween parade wound around the campus, the children could see all the other “creatures” that came to school. Very exciting! The parade ended at the stage where all witnessed a witch, a cat and a cowgirl brew up a magic potion. Everyone got a cup of potion and a magic ring! 🎃👻😺🎃🎃

Halloween is coming, and so is the excitement! And crafting Jack-O-Lanterns is part of the fun. It’s a lot of work, but the finished product is truly magical! 🎃🎃🎃

Our Toddler class is busy exploring and learning. It’s always a joy to watch this youngest group learn new skills and experience new ideas!

We are immensely grateful to the Encinitas Firemen who shared their expertise with the children. The children got to see and touch some of the equipment (which was super exciting!) and they learned that even though they look scary with all their gear, firemen are our friends. And the firemen enjoyed being with the children. It was a win win day for all.

Learning new skills is fun! The children and the teachers have settled into the school year, and you can tell by the gentle hum in the classrooms and smiling faces that all is well. Life is good!

School is off to a great start! There is a happy hum in the classrooms as the children eagerly dive into their work.

It was an exciting, joyful and busy first week of school! Old friends united and new friends welcomed. 🌈🌸❤️

Montessori lessons start with the big picture and move onto smaller parts. This gives the children a framework in which to file new information.

This lesson started with the differences between water, land and air and then progressed onto learning about the continents and bodies of water. Next the children learned about various land formations of water and land as shown in the photos below; lakes, peninsulas, islands etc. When they reach Kindergarten they will focus on the continent of North America, followed by the countries, states and cities on that continent.

It’s springtime! The children are learning about the new flowers and little crawling creatures like lady bugs and caterpillars. The most exciting part is watching the caterpillars go through metamorphosis! It’s a mind expanding experience!
