The Sage Garden Project brings hands-on gardens, cooking classes, and nutritional science to elementary schools.

We support standards-based science, nutrition, cooking, gardening, and exercise, creating self-supporting programs that have positive influence on student health. Aimed at reducing the incidence of diabetes in our youth, the program provides the tools, insight and inspiration for a lifetime of optimal health.

Our May Educator of the Month is ! She is the garden educator at multiple Sage-supported schools, as well as one of our SGP Regional trainers. She has been integral with our UCSD college intern collaboration, helping to train the students who come spend time in our gardens with the kiddos! She’s nurtured relationships with volunteers, and even has a former intern who’s still visiting her garden spaces to volunteer!
