Today we honor and remember President Jimmy Carter, whose vision for technical education aligns perfectly with our mission at Flint Hills Technical College.

As the president who established the Department of Education, Carter championed the kind of hands-on, skilled training that defines FHTC. He believed that technical education was vital to America's future, just as we do every day. When Carter created public-private partnerships to strengthen technical colleges in the 1970s, he laid the groundwork for institutions like FHTC to thrive.

His legacy lives on in every student who walks through our doors, ready to learn practical skills that will serve them for life. Thank you, President Carter, for believing in the power of technical education to transform lives. 🔧📚
