A big joy of this trip was getting some bonus quality time in with these recent graduates!

They are on the cusp of adulthood- some heading into the work force, some to college, some even to ESU Band Camp tomorrow morning! But we're grateful they wanted to come along for the full DCI experience with their old high school crew and staff. We hope it was a cherry on top of your years with us at Emporia High.

We love yer faces and are excited to watch you soar. 🫶🏽

Drum Corp International World Championships ✅️

Whirlwind of a weekend, but wow what a show! The level of skill, artistry, and grit on that field is incredible to witness! Almost a year's worth of fundraising efforts and we definitely got our money's worth watching the best of the best in the competitive marching arts!

Before we head to DCI Finals tonight, had a blast at our outing this morning to Game Show Battle Rooms Indianapolis! Teams were divided randomly, we donned our alter egos, and competed in a bunch of awesome games led by our fabulous hosts Billie and Quinn! Some serious core memories were made!

Morning 1 in the books! And it's a hot one! We are so excited to welcome our incoming freshman to the Spartan Pride marching field and to start getting this fun show on the field! 🛼🛼

Shout out to our stellar leadership team for helping get everything prepped for the week, being great role models, and putting their teaching skills to use out there! It takes a village!

And we're off to the races!

First day of Drumline, Front Ensemble, and Color Guard Camps were yesterday, and what a first day it was! These kids are fired up and ready to work. It's gonna be a great season!

Found some EHS Band kids in the Sky Ryders show this evening! We are so incredibly proud of them for putting in the hard work and dedication that comes with being in a drum corps.

Their show is FANTASTIC! It’s truly amazing what they’ve done in just two weeks, and they’re only in their second season back!!! Catch them in Hutchinson tomorrow night, and in San Antonio on Saturday, streamed on FloMarching.

Shout out to our Emporia High School Theatre as they are about to perform at International Thespian Festival this afternoon and evening! We are so proud of these arts students representing our school on such a huge stage.

🎭 Break a leg to our incredible Emporia High School thespians as they take the stage today at the International Thespian Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana!

Our students will perform A Piece of My Heart as just 1 of 11 schools in the nation selected to perform at this prestigious event. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, and talent as they represent Emporia High School on the national stage.

Wow, what a week! It may have been a bit windy, but we stayed upright and finished one of the best Band Boot Camps we’ve ever put on!

We had such a great group of campers who were ready to put in extra time over the summer to better themselves and get a head start on marching fundamentals. They truly rocked it!

HUGE shoutout to our EHS Band Leadership team. These young leaders were chomping at the bit to take things off their directors’ plates and take the teaching and culture building into their own hands. We couldn’t be more proud of them, and grateful for what they accomplished this week!

If the upcoming marching season is anything like this week’s camp, it’s looking like it’ll be one for the record books!

Next up, we’ve got Percussion and Color Guard camps mid-July, followed by our full EHS Band Camp! See you soon!!

Band kids were out and looking sharp last night for prom! Hope everyone had a blast and made lots of memories! Definitely well earned after a very busy contest month. We love you guys!
