🎉 First FFA Jacket of the Year! 🎉

On the first Monday of our second week of school, we gave our 8th grade Principles of Ag students a challenge: learn the FFA Creed and be ready to recite it from memory.

The very next day, Marlee walked into class and said, “I’m ready.” 👏🏼💙💛

And she absolutely nailed it!

For being the first student to step up and take on the challenge, Marlee earned her FFA jacket FREE! 🎉

We are so proud of her for accepting the challenge, putting in the work, and having the confidence to step up. We love seeing our students challenge themselves and get involved from the very beginning!

Way to set the bar, Marlee! Welcome to our FFA family! We can’t wait to see where your FFA journey takes you! 💙💛

Today 3 of our Beefmaster exhibitors showed off their cattle in the National Beefmaster Heifer Show. We are bringing home not one but TWO 3rd place ribbons! They all did such a great job showing in this heat! Stay tuned for more stock shows this season!

Today our Beefmaster cattle exhibitors hit the ring at JBBA Nationals for the showmanship show. They all did a great job and learned so much. Stay tuned for the heifer show on Friday!

We’re wrapping up our 2026–2027 Officer Spotlight series by introducing Cash, one of our Rains FFA Vice Presidents! Cash is a sophomore at Rains High School and is ready to help serve our members, support our chapter, and make this a great year for Rains FFA.

1. What’s your favorite FFA memory so far?
“My Favorite FFA memory so far has been officer retreat. I made lots of good memories and habanero peppers are really spicy.”

2. What’s one thing you’re most excited for this year as an officer?
“I am the most excited to help the Greenhands and get more members involved.”

3. If your life had a walk-up song, what would it be?
“Enter Sandman by Metallica.”

In the FFA, Cash competes in Chapter Conducting, Farm Business Management, and is one of our Senior Prepared Public Speakers. He is also very involved in the cattle showing world through our 4H. In school, Cash is heavily involved in our athletics program. He plays Football, Baseball, Basketball, and runs Track. We’re excited to have Cash on our officer team and can’t wait to watch him continue to grow as a leader throughout the year.

As this year’s officer team, our hope is to lead by example, serve with integrity, create opportunities for every member to succeed, and leave our chapter stronger than we found it. Here’s to a year of growth, service, and making memories together.

Say hello to Chloe, one of our 2026–2027 Rains FFA Vice Presidents! Chloe is also sophomore at Rains High School and is ready to help lead, serve, and make a positive impact on our chapter this year.

1. What’s your favorite FFA memory so far?
“My favorite memory is when we’re all in the van with Ms. Ag and she’s driving then takes a wide turn. We all start screaming. Also of course when we make fun of her parking abilities in the van.”

2. What’s one thing you’re most excited for this year as an officer?
“I’m excited to see the impact we have on the members and the upcoming officer team.”

3. If your life had a walk-up song, what would it be?
“Girls just wanna have fun, because obviously all girls just wants to have fun .”

In the FFA, Chloe is a part of our Floral Design team, Ag Mech Show team and competes in Poultry Judging. She is also involved in Powerlifting!! 💪

We’re excited to have Chloe as part of our officer team and look forward to the energy, leadership, and dedication she’ll bring to Rains FFA this year. Thank you for choosing to serve…we can’t wait to see all you’ll accomplish.
