Early Words Speech & Language is a locally owned and operate business. We are proud to serve the city of Emmett offering high quality services without having to drive over the hill. Our mission is to provide high quality speech and language services to families that live in Emmett without them having to drive over the hill. We evaluate and treat children with Expressive and Receptive Language Delays, Articulation Delays, Phonological Disorders, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Voice Disorders, Social Communication Disorders and Fluency Disorders. Currently, we have two therapists providing services who love their jobs and helping children reach their communication goals.

Hey Parents! This is very true. Early Intervention is so, so important. We offer free screeners that take about 10 minutes. During that time, we can confidentiality tell you if your child would benefit from a full evaluation and/or give you strategies to work on for 3-6 months. Let us help you early!

It’s no secret that I loathe the wait and see approach - but I do think many parents don’t realize that they can seek evaluations without a referral or (adamantly) request referrals when “wait and see” is recommended.

ESPECIALLY if you (or anyone else) are concerned, a child is frustrated, or the child isn’t meeting milestones (check out my milestone guide on Instagram for more info!)

In the US: call early intervention for 0-3 and your school district for 3-21 for free evaluations, and you can also check with your insurance to see if and how much it covers for private therapy!
