📚✏️ School Supply Update! ✏️📚

As we wrap up one of our grants, we’re excited to be able to provide school supplies for all students for the upcoming school year!

Families will only need to send:
🎒 A backpack
💧 A reusable water bottle

We’ll take care of the rest of the classroom supplies so students are ready for a successful start to the year.

We are grateful for the grant funding that made this possible and look forward to welcoming everyone back for another great school year. We can’t wait to see our students soon!

Ready to trade the morning commute for a route that truly matters?

Eminence R-1 School District is looking for a full-time bus driver to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year!

As a Redwings bus driver, you'll do more than drive a bus, you'll be the first smile our students see in the morning and the last friendly wave they receive each afternoon. Every day, you'll help ensure our students arrive safely, ready to learn, and return home with stories to share.

Competitive Pay - Bus Drivers Start at $19.50 an hour
Benefits Available - Board Paid Health Insurance, Retirement
Modified calendar - most Fridays OFF, as well as extended breaks
Supportive team environment

❤️🖤 Meet Our Redwings Team! 🖤❤️

We're excited to introduce one of the newest members of the Eminence R-1 School District family!

Please join us in welcoming Stevee Piatt, who will be joining us in August as our new 4th Grade Teacher!

Mrs. Piatt is beginning her fifth year in education and brings a unique background to the classroom. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Business with a minor in Mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University, she later pursued her passion for teaching by earning her Master's degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Baptist University.

Education is Mrs. Piatt's second career, and she believes every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. She is passionate about creating engaging learning experiences that inspire curiosity, encourage students to reach their full potential, and foster a lifelong love of learning. Her goal is to build a classroom where every student feels supported, challenged, and excited to come to school each day.

Mrs. Piatt and her husband, Jacob, are proud parents of their son, Cameron, who recently graduated from high school and will be attending the University of Central Missouri this fall.

When asked what she's looking forward to most, Mrs. Piatt shared that she is excited to get to know the students, families, and staff of Eminence and become an active part of our community. She can't wait to begin a wonderful year!

⚠️ Severe Weather Shelter Notification ⚠️

Due to forecasts indicating the potential for severe weather beginning after 6:00 p.m. this evening, the FEMA Safe Room next to the Eminence Elementary School will be open to the public beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The safety of our students, families, staff, and community remains our highest priority. Any community member who feels they need a safe place to shelter during the anticipated storms is welcome to use the FEMA Safe Room.

We encourage everyone to closely monitor local weather conditions this evening and follow guidance from emergency management and the National Weather Service.

Please share this information to help ensure members of our community are aware of this available shelter option.
