aren’t just known by the certificates on their walls — they are known by their depth of knowledge and broad awareness, with which they bring healing to individuals and society. OUR PROGRAMS
At Bauman College, the Nutrition Consultant and Holistic Chef online training programs encompass the revolutionary ideas and scientific approach to nutrition that have been the foundation for what Bauman College is today. The Nutrition Consultant Program focuses on holistic nutrition that goes beyond supporting one dietary choice over another. The Holistic Chef Program combines classical culinary training with modern therapeutic applications. OUR VISION
In keeping with Bauman College’s commitment to healing, we are dedicated to broadening our impact by helping to address the inequalities in access to food, education, and health care, which underlie health disparities in our society. NHI is building upon the rich heritage of both organizations while expanding program offerings in integrative health education. Through rigorous curriculum, relevant career guidance, and visionary direction, we’re preparing the future leaders, thinkers, and creators in the integrative health industry.

☕ What does your favorite mug say about you?

At the start of Bauman College’s Nutrition Consultant Program, students come together for a virtual “Happy Hour” after orientation to get to know their new classmates.

The assignment is simple: bring your favorite mug, fill it with your favorite drink, and share the story behind both. 💚

It’s a fun way to break the ice, make connections, and start building community before diving into the program together.

Because even when you’re learning online, you don’t have to learn alone.

What mug would you bring and what would you be drinking? ☕👇

🥗 The easiest way to make your salads taste better? Build them from the bottom up.

Instead of pouring dressing over everything at the end, layer your ingredients strategically for better flavor, texture, and crunch in every bite.

👇 Try this order:

🥣 Dressing first

🫑 Hearty veggies + beans (toss to coat)

🥩 Protein or other sturdy ingredients (toss again)

🌿 Tender greens and fresh herbs

✨ Finish with delicate toppings like citrus, nuts, seeds, or cheese

Every ingredient gets just the right amount of dressing without weighing down your greens.

💚 Simple technique. Big difference.

Save this for your next salad, and send it to someone who's always making lunch!

🥣🏆 Best Presentation Winner: Alesha Salahuddin’s Southern-Inspired Sprouted Lentil Vegetarian Gumbo

Created for Bauman College’s 2026 Lentil Recipe Writing Contest, Alesha’s vibrant gumbo earned top honors for its thoughtful presentation, rich color, and beautifully layered ingredients.

Inspired by her Southern roots, Alesha reimagined a comforting classic with a plant-forward approach:

🫑 The holy trinity of onion, celery, and bell pepper
🌱 A blend of sprouted green, red, and black lentils
🍠 Sweet potato for subtle sweetness
🍅 Fire-roasted tomatoes for added depth
💚 Okra as a natural thickener instead of a traditional roux
🌶️ Creole seasoning, Old Bay, and smoked paprika for bold flavor

Alesha also applied the health-focused techniques she has learned at Bauman College. Carefully timed ingredients and garnishes helped preserve the bright colors and textures that made this dish stand out.

👏 Congratulations, Alesha! Follow her at .
