🐾❤️ FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! ❤️🐾

And just like that… we’re back!

Our halls were full, classrooms were busy, and there was plenty of excitement as we welcomed our Bulldogs back for the 2026–2027 school year!

From our littlest PreK learners experiencing their very first day to our 8th graders beginning their final year at Emerado, today was all about reconnecting, learning routines, making memories, and starting something new.

There may have been a few nervous smiles (from kids and grown-ups 😉), but by the end of the day, our building was feeling like school again.

Here’s to a great year of Working Harder. Growing Stronger. Learning Together. 🐾❤️

The halls are quiet, the floors are shining, and our favorite Bulldog is catching some Zzz’s before the big day. 💤🐶

Tomorrow these halls come alive again!

Today was a BIG day at Emerado! ❤️🐾

Our staff spent the day diving into Understanding Trauma for Day 2 of our BARR training. It was a full day of learning, reflecting, and continuing to build our toolbox so we can better support our students.

A huge thank you to our PTO for providing pizza for lunch 🍕 and to Ms. Noeldner’s mom for making the cutest (and most delicious!) cookies for an afternoon treat! 🍪

Then we wrapped up the day with Open House! There is just something special about having our hallways full of students and families again. It was SO fun seeing everyone back in the building and feeling that back-to-school excitement. ❤️

One of our favorite parts of the evening was watching Ms. Heather share her Play Lab with so many of our younger siblings and families! Through our Legendary Learners grant, we’re working to build early literacy connections that reach beyond our school walls—and tonight was such a fun little glimpse of that work in action. 📚🧩

A long day? Absolutely.
A really, really good day? Absolutely.

We kicked off our year today with Year 2 BARR training and thanks to Mrs. Riewer the most delicious pastries from Dough Mama! If you haven’t ever had her baked goods, we highly recommend!

2026 Emerado Corn Feed was so much fun!
