🧡 Principal Spotlight: Lesley Glanton 🧡
Elysian Fields Middle School | National Principals Month

With 27 years in education, Mrs. Glanton enjoys solving problems to provide students with a better learning experience. Her desire to help others, spend time with her children, and follow the example of her mother—a teacher— inspired her to become an educator.

One of her favorite EFISD memories is a charter bus trip to the DFW area with students, filled with laughter and fun conversations!

🌺 Fun fact: She spent two summers living in Hawaii!
☕ Favorite things: Thrift shopping, beach trips, Mexican food, coffee, and watching her children play sports.
🎵 Favorite song: “9 to 5” by Dolly Parton.

Her hope for every student: “That you know someone at school cares about you.”

Family is precious to Mrs. Glanton. She and her husband have been married for 25 years. Their children are Bailey, a senior at Baylor; Ella, a high school senior; and Brooks, a sixth grader.

Thank you, Mrs. Glanton, for caring for our students and helping make EFMS a place where they feel supported!

JACKET NATION, WE HIT THE ROAD TOMORROW!

Our Elysian Fields Yellowjackets take on the Pewitt Brahmas tomorrow night, Thursday, October 15, at 7:00 PM! Bring your spirit, wear your orange and white, and get LOUD for our Jackets!

Please see the important game-day information from Pewitt ISD below:

Review the attached parking map before traveling. Visitor bus parking is limited to credentialed ISD administrators and employees, clearly marked EFISD school vehicles, and vehicles with valid disability parking placards or permits. Administrators should present district-issued credentials.

Admission is $5 cash only at the gate. Pre-K-age children and younger enter free.

Gates open at 6:00 PM. Pregame activities begin at 6:45 PM, with kickoff at 7:00 PM.

All spectators must watch from the bleachers; the track and sidelines are restricted to school staff. Children must remain under adult supervision at all times.

On Friday, Elysian Fields Elementary celebrated student achievements at our First Six Weeks Awards Ceremony! Students were recognized for Attendance, All A Honor Roll, A/B Honor Roll, Highest AR Points, and the Leadership Award.

A four-year starting libero and two-year team captain, Youngblood has surpassed 1,200 career digs and earned District Defensive MVP honors. Equally impressive, she ranks No. 1 academically in her graduating class.

Friday was full of fun and Jacket pride!

Our high school students and staff joined in the Pink Out fun as they got ready for Friday night’s game, and the 2026 EF Community Parade brought even more school spirit to the day!

🧡 Principal Spotlight: Blake Wolfe 🧡
Elysian Fields Elementary | National Principals Month

With 10½ years in education, Mr. Wolfe loves making a positive, lasting impact on students and colleagues.

Education and athletics helped give him purpose and taught him the value of discipline, perseverance, and believing in himself. He became an educator to show students that their circumstances do not have to define their future. With support, determination, and opportunities, they can overcome obstacles and achieve more than they imagined.

A favorite EFISD memory is beating Gladewater in the first round with the Class of 2024 on the field. The excitement and shared celebration on the bus ride afterward is a memory he will always carry with him.

⚾ Fun fact: He played college baseball!
🍿 Favorite things: Watching sports and TV shows with his family, enjoying popcorn, and drinking Orange Fanta.
🎵 Favorite music: A little of everything—it depends on his mood!

His hope for every student: To be successful and continue pursuing growth and fulfillment in whatever path they choose after completing their education.

Mr. Wolfe loves EFISD and is grateful to contribute, learn, and be part of a team whose people make the district special.
