FBCS Sabre Athletic Association

Dear Students, Parents, and Faculty Members,

We hope this message finds you well. The Sabres Athletic Association Executive Committee would like to inform you of a significant decision recently made regarding the Sabres Athletic Association.

After careful consideration and deliberation, the SAA executive committee, in agreement with the school committee, has decided to disband the Athletic Association due to various reasons. This means that the formal organization responsible for overseeing various fundraising aspects of our athletic activities will no longer exist. While this decision was undoubtedly difficult, it was made with the best interests of the school’s athletic department in mind.

The Sabre Athletic Association has been an integral part of our school's identity and culture for many years. Through its tireless efforts, it has promoted sportsmanship, teamwork, and school spirit among students, faculty, and parents alike. Its absence will undoubtedly be felt by all members.

We want to assure you that while the Athletic Association, as an organization, will no longer be operational, this decision does not impact our sports programs or opportunities for student participation in athletics. We recognize the importance of athletics in promoting teamwork and personal development among our students. As such, the school remains fully committed to maintaining and enhancing our sports programs, ensuring that students have access to athletic opportunities.

While the Athletic Association played a valuable role in supporting our athletic endeavors, we believe that we can adapt and find new ways to ensure the continued success of our sports programs. Our dedicated coaches, supportive parents, and our student athletes are the heart and soul of our athletics community, and their passion will continue to drive our success moving forward.

While the disbandment of the Athletic Association represents a change, it does not diminish our dedication to providing students with meaningful experiences in sports and athletics. We will
continue to invest in our sports programs, support our student athletes, and foster a culture of sportsmanship and excellence within our school community. We understand that change can sometimes be unsettling, but we want to assure you that this decision was made thoughtfully and with careful consideration for the best interests of our students and school community.

As we transition away from the Athletic Association, we would like to thank the many families that have been involved with the SAA. The time, commitment, and passion that you have put into the SAA and our student athletes does not go unrecognized.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our school's athletic programs. We look forward to seeing our student athletes excel both on and off the field in the months and years ahead.
