Our Surgical Technology student, Molly, prepared a speech that she unfortunately did not get the opportunity to present publicly. We are honored to share her words here so her voice can still be heard.

We are incredibly proud of Molly - not only for the dedication and compassion she demonstrates in the classroom and clinical setting, but also for the courage and heart reflected in her message. She represents the professionalism, resilience, and passion that make the future of healthcare so bright.

Please take a moment to read Molly’s speech below and help us celebrate her accomplishments and voice.

"Hi! My name is Molly i’m a surgical tech student graduating next weekend and I just wanted to say something’s about my experience in this program. This program has pushed me passed every limit I had ever experienced before. This program pushed me to be better everytime I went to clinical, to put myself in very difficult cases, and some days I definitely didn’t want to do it but I pushed myself to. I did work full time during the program and I am thankful that I was able to juggle everything but it was extremely exhausting and very difficult to do for the last year. Overall, I wouldn’t change anything that happened in the last year, I made great friends at the hospital that I was working at, I experienced cases that I never thought I would ever be in, and I found a specialty I fell in love with. I also just wanted to say I am extremely grateful for the girls that I went through the program with, we kept eachother together and continued to push eachother until the end so thank you guys. I also wanted to thank you to my family who put up with me on the good and the bad days. especially thank you my fiancé Patrick, and my mom for listening to me cry when things really got hard. and finally thank you to Shauna, Ashley, and Korrine who believed in me even when it was hard for me to believe in myself. I truly couldn’t have done it without the continuous support from you guys."

We are incredibly grateful to Dan for joining our Surgical Technology students as a guest speaker and for representing Ethicon and its innovative surgical products. The students were fully engaged throughout the presentation, asking great questions and showing genuine enthusiasm as they learned how Ethicon products are used in real operating room settings.

Dan’s presentation gave our students valuable insight into the role high‑quality surgical products play in patient care and OR efficiency. Because of this experience, our students will be better prepared to step into the operating room as they begin their clinical rotations with greater confidence and understanding.
