The White Pine Golf team finished up their season yeaterday at the state tournament with a fourth place team finish and our top golfer, Travis Petersen finished in fourth place as an individual. Congrats coach Long and athletes on your season!

We had a busy divisional week.
Boys Golf started the week off by going to Dayton Nevada and would finish as divisional champs and Travis Petersen would finish as the divisional state champion with a score of 82. Below Are the following strokes and placing for the White Pine team.
1 Travis Petersen – 82
8 Matt Thompson – 105
15 Tanner Stokes – 116
22 Ethan Sandoval – 123
24 Ryker Gardner – 131

The golf team will be competing at the two-day state tournament in Elko Nevada on Tuesday & Wednesday, May 14th and 15th. Good Luck boys!

The swim team, yes, we have a swim team. The swim team had three athletes this year and had one athlete qualify for the prelims of the divisional tournament. Becca Murphree competed in the 50-meter freestyle. Missing the chance to swim in the finals by two places. We look forward to seeing the swim program continue to grow.

The baseball and Softball teams traveled down to the divisional tournament in Needles CA. The baseball team took another step in the right direction getting their first playoff win in over ten years. They would see their season come to an end while finishing one win away from the state tournament. Baseball finished with an 18-7 record for the season and a 10-4 league record. Congrats on taking another step in the right direction.

Softball would secure another trip to the state tournament with a thrilling extra-inning win vs rival opponent Lincoln County in the 9th inning. They would eventually lose to Needles in the championship game. They will play the north's number 1 seed Pershing County on Thursday at 1 PM in Las Vegas at Durango High School. Good luck Ladycats!

The Track team competed at Bonanza High School for their divisional tournament. They were able to qualify 10 boys and 12 girls for the state tournament. They will travel to Carson City for the two-day tournament on Friday & Saturday, May 17th and 18th.

Good Luck to all of our athletes who competed last week and will be competing this week.

I have not had access to this page for a while due to some scammers. I always try to block their comments when they post watch the game here. Please do not click on any links stating this as they are just trying to steal your money. NFHS Networks are the primary video streaming site for the NIAA. Some schools will utilize Hudl, YouTube, or some other kind of site like those. I will always post links myself. I will catch up with some posts here over the next few hours. I appreciate your patience as I have had to work on getting my account back and active.

I will have a bigger write up to come, but in the meantime, thank you to our White Pine community! The volunteers were amazing this weekend. The home crowd was awesome on Thursday and Friday! I’m going to take a nap and get back to you tomorrow! From the bottom my heart, I’m very grateful for all of you!

Here is the ticket link for Thursday's games. Fridays and Saturdays tickets are not up yet. Tickets are purchased through Hometown ticketing on the NIAA website. This is the online ticketing company the NIAA uses. It is different than what we use in Ticket Spicket. You will need to have your ticket printed or on your phone when you arrive.
