This school helps me learn so much. It also helps me to grow closer to God. St. Henry also helps me learn about holidays, math, writing, reading, science, and social studies. I think St. Henry is a good fit for me because it helps me learn so much. St. Henry is also a good fit because I can learn to count over 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500. I love St. Henry so much that I want it to be my only school to go to in my whole life. ⁣

It's Holy Week! Our third and fourth grade students headed to the cafeteria this morning and made Resurrection Rolls! What?! Let's share some details:

Resurrection rolls are a baking activity used to teach children the story of Jesus’ burial and resurrection. By wrapping a marshmallow in crescent dough and baking it, the marshmallow melts, leaving an empty center. This symbolizes the empty tomb, with ingredients representing Jesus' body, burial spices, and the linens used.

The story and symbolism behind the ingredients:
Marshmallow (White): Represents Jesus, who was pure and without sin.
Melted Butter: Represents the oils used to anoint Jesus’ body before burial.
Cinnamon and Sugar: Represents the spices and herbs used to prepare the body.
Crescent Roll Dough: Represents the linen cloth used to wrap Jesus' body.
Oven: Represents the tomb where Jesus was placed.
Empty Center: After baking, the marshmallow dissolves, leaving a hollow roll to represent the empty tomb on the third day, signifying that Jesus has risen.

Our sixth grade students led the CRS Rice Bowl project this Lent. The Catholic Relief Service Rice Bowl project helps millions of vulnerable sisters and brothers who are experiencing life-threatening levels of hunger, food insecurity, and malnutrition. Twenty-five percent of every donation stays in our diocese to fight hunger and poverty, with the remainder helping CRS programs around the world.⁣
