Thank you to those who attended the Lions Cub Tales program. 🦁📚✨

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Non-Violence (no hitting). We discussed healthy ways of expressing anger, such as counting to ten, or deep breathing. If we get angry we must choose to never hit anyone. Hands are not for hitting, hands are for high-fives and hugs. The children enjoyed dance songs and colored an H for Hugs themed coloring page.

Thank you to the City of Edcouch, the Sgt. Juan Rodriquez Community Center, the Busy Bee Beehive Learning Center, and everyone who continues to support this special program each week! The Delta Area Lions Club wants to continue to give back to this community in meaningful ways.

The Delta Area Lions Club would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Busy Bee Beehive Learning Center in Elsa, Texas, for their very generous monetary donation. All donations received by the Delta Area Lions Club go directly back to the community through service projects like the Lions Cub Tales early child literacy and education program, the Lions Crafting Fun summer youth program, and more.

Thank you to the Busy Bee Beehive Learning Center for participating with us in today’s Lions Crafting Fun – Summer Youth Program.

The children created their very own Nature Buddies stick figure crafts using sticks and yarn. Rhinestones and googly eyes were glued on to add a bit of personality and flair. It was a slow-paced and relaxing craft the kids really enjoyed. Nature provides so many crafting opportunities – just look.

A special thank you to the Sgt. Juan Rodriguez Community Center and EEISD for providing free lunches for the children. They really enjoyed the Salsbury steak today. Thank you to everyone who continues to support this Sumer program! The Delta Area Lions Club wants to continue to give back to this community in meaningful ways.

Please join us at the next Lions Crafting Fun event on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 10am to 11am, at the Edcouch Community Center. We’re making balloon animals! Hope to see you there.

Thank you to the Busy Bee Beehive Learning Center for participating with us in today’s Lions Crafting Fun – Summer Youth Program. 🦁💙💛✨

The children learned the fun skill of balloon twisting, and created bees, dogs, giraffes, flowers, and even a monkey in a tree. A fun party skill to learn and enjoy at any age. It was a great way to finish out the Summer Youth Program.

A special thank you to the Sgt. Juan Rodriguez Community Center and EEISD for providing free lunches for the children. The tamales today smelled extra delicious! They really enjoyed the food today. Thank you to everyone who supported this Sumer program! The Delta Area Lions Club wants to continue to give back to this community in meaningful ways. Thank you to those who attended the Lions Cub Tales program. 🦁✨📚

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Slowing Down and Taking Your Time. We discussed the importance of not rushing through life. We may miss the beauty of people and the world around us when we hurry through our days. When we take the time to slow down to listen to the birds sing or the wind whisper through the leaves, we can hear the sweet symphonies all around us. When we stop to admire a flower, a dragonfly, or a rainbow, we can appreciate the beauty of everything on Earth. The children enjoyed dance songs and colored a sloth themed coloring page.

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Nature – Animal Tracks. We discussed nature, animals, humans, and even machines, leaving marks on the earth. Where animals walk in nature, they leave tracks on the ground. We can learn a lot about different animals by studying their tracks and watching for clues left behind. Always explore nature with others, be respectful of nature and animals, and use caution. We can all help make a happier earth. The children enjoyed dance songs, and colored an animal tracks themed coloring page. 🐾

A big thank you to the Elsa Public Library for the awesome Dino Dirt Cups activity! 🦖💚 The kids had so much fun making them, and they absolutely loved the delicious treat.
