The Delta Area Lions Club would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Busy Bee Beehive Learning Center in Elsa, Texas, for their very generous monetary donation. All donations received by the Delta Area Lions Club go directly back to the community through service projects like the Lions Cub Tales early child literacy and education program, the Lions Crafting Fun summer youth program, and more.

Thank you to the Busy Bee Beehive Learning Center for participating with us in today’s Lions Crafting Fun – Summer Youth Program.

The children created their very own Nature Buddies stick figure crafts using sticks and yarn. Rhinestones and googly eyes were glued on to add a bit of personality and flair. It was a slow-paced and relaxing craft the kids really enjoyed. Nature provides so many crafting opportunities – just look.

A special thank you to the Sgt. Juan Rodriguez Community Center and EEISD for providing free lunches for the children. They really enjoyed the Salsbury steak today. Thank you to everyone who continues to support this Sumer program! The Delta Area Lions Club wants to continue to give back to this community in meaningful ways.

Thank you to the Busy Bee Beehive Learning Center for participating with us in today’s Lions Crafting Fun – Summer Youth Program. 🦁💙💛✨

The children learned the fun skill of balloon twisting, and created bees, dogs, giraffes, flowers, and even a monkey in a tree. A fun party skill to learn and enjoy at any age. It was a great way to finish out the Summer Youth Program.

A special thank you to the Sgt. Juan Rodriguez Community Center and EEISD for providing free lunches for the children. The tamales today smelled extra delicious! They really enjoyed the food today. Thank you to everyone who supported this Sumer program! The Delta Area Lions Club wants to continue to give back to this community in meaningful ways. Thank you to those who attended the Lions Cub Tales program. 🦁✨📚

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Slowing Down and Taking Your Time. We discussed the importance of not rushing through life. We may miss the beauty of people and the world around us when we hurry through our days. When we take the time to slow down to listen to the birds sing or the wind whisper through the leaves, we can hear the sweet symphonies all around us. When we stop to admire a flower, a dragonfly, or a rainbow, we can appreciate the beauty of everything on Earth. The children enjoyed dance songs and colored a sloth themed coloring page.

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Nature – Animal Tracks. We discussed nature, animals, humans, and even machines, leaving marks on the earth. Where animals walk in nature, they leave tracks on the ground. We can learn a lot about different animals by studying their tracks and watching for clues left behind. Always explore nature with others, be respectful of nature and animals, and use caution. We can all help make a happier earth. The children enjoyed dance songs, and colored an animal tracks themed coloring page. 🐾

Today’s topic and children’s book focused on Believing in Good Things. We discussed the importance of believing in ourselves, others, and the world. There are many wonderful things we can accomplish in this world if we simply believe in ourselves and others. Take notice of all the good things around us and try our best to create good things. If we believe good things will happen, it will. The children enjoyed dance songs, and colored a B is for Believe themed coloring page.
