Royall FFA members Payton and Mia showed their project animals at the Wisconsin State Fair. Payton showed her beef steer and Mia showed her dairy calves. Both did exceptionally well! Payton took first place in her class and division and Mia won the 13 year old dairy showmanship class. Congratulations to both on a successful state fair!

Early in July Agriculture Instructors from Juneau County run a Tractor Safety Certification Course for students in the county. Grant and Weston from Royall attended this year's course. Students must pass a written and driving test to get certified. In addition to the in class coursework students had the opportunity to drive the tractor, identify parts on a tractor, and hear from guest speakers Dave Seitz and two EMT's from Mauston. They also had the opportunity to learn First Aid and try their hand at putting on a tourniquet.
