MHE faculty, Stephanie Hernandez Rivera and Jonathan McElderry recently released their co-edited text, “Still Shaking the Table: Activism, Unity, and Supporting Students.” The text is a second volume that focuses on the experience of identity center practitioners on college campuses. Within the first volume, they center survival and healing. This second volume builds on that initial work, sharing the first-person testimonies of identity center practitioners who advocate for students, build community, navigate changing and evolving contexts-all while remaining committed to the work. We are so proud of the ways they continue to speak directly to higher education practitioners through their work! 📚

We had an awesome first colloquium session facilitated by Shannon Ashford, a certified CliftonStrengths Coach with Shannon Kimberly, LLC, who led us in an understanding of our CliftonStrengths assessment and how we lead, learn and collaborate through and with our strengths!

Congratulations are in order for Kassidy, who will be interning at Queens University this summer as the Enrollment Management and Marketing Intern! ✨ In her role, Kassidy will support daily campus visit operations, help implement enhancements to daily campus visit programming, support summer orientation efforts, create templates and event guides for off-campus engagement events. and evaluate campus visit data and help develop goals around campus visits and engagement. Congratulations Kassidy! We can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you do this summer.

These MHE students had a great time at Spring Pride which was western themed! 🤠 Their favorite part was the tiny cowboy hat painting station and the pin the cowboy hat on Elton John game.

Kate who works as the graduate apprentice in the Gender & LGBTQIA Center said that their favorite part about being a graduate apprentice in the GLC is helping students vision for events come to life! ✨ Kate has loved working with the events team in the GLC!
