More than 160 families, friends, students and faculty filled the Sacred Space to honor the memory of 35 “silent teachers.”

The Anatomical Gift Program honored this year’s silent teachers in a heartfelt ceremony yesterday. We are pleased to have included the families of our special teachers. The pandemic of the past two years prohibited us from doing so. It was a solemn and respectful service during which families and students interacted. It was our “gift” to honor those who so nobly consented to their anatomical donation. They are the greatest teachers in the world! 🙏🏻

We are a fully enrolled curriculum of North Carolinians who signed their consent to silently teach human anatomy to the first year Doctor of Physical Therapy students and the first year Master of Physician Assistant Studies students under the direction of our exemplary faculty.
