Today, the Western Alamance Jazz Band visited Elon Elementary School and filled our campus with joy and music! They performed beautiful Christmas songs for our students, helping everyone celebrate the true spirit of Christmas through rhythm, cheer, and holiday fun.

📣 Special Visit at Elon Elementary!

Today our third graders had an exciting visit from Mr. Honeycutt, the City Manager of Burlington! He came to share with our students what a city manager does and how important this role is in helping our community run smoothly.

Our kids were so engaged as they learned about the decisions city managers make to keep our city safe, organized, and growing. 🌟🏙️

On October 31, Elon Elementary celebrated our annual Book Character Parade! Each student brought their favorite story to life by dressing up as a beloved book character. From brave heroes to clever magicians, funny animals, and fearless adventurers — our hallways were filled with imagination and joy! 💫
It was wonderful to see our students’ creativity shine and their love for reading come alive. 💕✨

✨ Celebrating Hispanic Heritage at Elon Elementary! ✨

At Elon Elementary, we believe in celebrating culture, community, and connection. Thanks to the vision of Stacey Johnson, our dedicated ESL teacher, families were invited to join a beautiful Hispanic Heritage Celebration!

Families not only received helpful resources but also enjoyed time connecting with each other and school staff.
🍲 Many brought homemade dishes, filling the space with the flavors of tradition.
🎶 Music, laughter, and cultural pride filled the air.
🎨 Students from Western Alamance High School’s Spanish Honor Society volunteered their time guiding younger kids in creating colorful flags of Hispanic countries.

This celebration was a true reminder of the richness that Hispanic heritage brings to our schools and community. 🌎❤️

A big thank you to Stacey, the ML Department, Elon staff, and every family who joined us in making this event so special!
