☕💙The family of Calvin Cahoon provided coffee for the staff today to honor our beloved Calvin Cahoon. Thank you Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee of Alamance County for providing a treat for our amazing staff who loved him dearly.
Calvin tragically passed away on June 20 and would have been beginning his final year at Western Alamance Middle School as an eighth grader this fall. His family hopes to keep his memory alive by sharing the same kindness that Calvin so naturally showed to others every day.
Calvin loved his school and the people who made it such a special place for him—his teachers, coaches, friends, and teammates. He loved being part of the Western Alamance community and participating in school sports.
This Cup of Kindness is a small way for Calvin’s family to say thank you to each of you for teaching him, encouraging him, supporting him, and caring for him during his years at Western Alamance Middle School.☕💙

We’re so excited to welcome our students and families back to Western Alamance Middle School! Come meet your teachers, learn about class expectations, pick up bus route information, and be sure to stop by the WAMS PTO table and say hello! 👋

📘 6th Grade: Tuesday, August 18th | 4:30–6:00 PM
📗 7th & 8th Grade: Thursday, August 20th | 4:30–6:00 PM

Open House is a floating event, so stop by anytime during your grade level’s scheduled time.

Our WAMS community is absolutely heartbroken over the tragic loss of one of our own, Calvin Cahoon. There are simply no words for a loss like this.
As we grieve alongside his family, friends, classmates, and teachers, I’m sharing this fundraiser in hopes that we can surround them with love and support during an unimaginable time. Every donation, share, and prayer makes a difference.
