The Woodmore High School Drama Club will present “The Little Mermaid” this spring. Currently, many students, a production team, and numerous parents have teamed up and are working together to put together a quality musical so that our community will be able to witness, once again, the talent that our local school has to offer.
You can imagine how much time and effort our theatre students put into this program each year. As Director, it is my goal to give these students the tools and the necessities to work with in order to ensure that they will have a production for which they can be proud.
We are asking for your support. This community has always stood behind students who strive for success, and in our theatre students you will find nothing less than dedication, commitment, talent, and the drive to succeed both in theatre and in their academic lives, but we need your help to keep these opportunities alive.

Woodmore Drama Club is proud to announce the first of many events with their spring production "Once Upon a Mattress." Once Upon a Mattress is set in a medieval kingdom, following the search for a princess to marry Prince Dauntless, whose domineering mother, Queen Aggravain, has made it nearly impossible for anyone to pass her rigorous tests. Enter Princess Winnifred, a spirited and unrefined young woman from the swamps, who arrives seeking the prince’s hand in marriage. Once Upon a Mattress offers a comedic twist of a fairy tale, touching on themes of tradition, family, and royalty.

Parents of students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to join us for a meeting on November 5, 7 PM at the Elementary School to learn more about the production. Auditions will be held on Sunday, November 10 - middle school students need to be at the Elementary Cafetorium at 4 PM to fill out paperwork. We will audition them from 4-4:45. High School students will follow with their auditions at 5 PM.

Once again we will be selling roses from Judi's Flowers at the Woodmore Drama Club's production of Annie on March 21-24. A variety of full size colored roses will be available for purchase before each show, during intermission, and after each show (while supplies last). Reward your favorite cast member(s) while also supporting Academic Boosters!

We will also have refreshments available during intermission with free-will donation. Thank you to The Cookie Lady for donating cookies again for our refreshment table!

This past summer. a dozen dedicated Drama individuals helped move our costumes from the board office to the high school. It was quite a job transporting over 1000 costume pieces and one mouse - but we did it!
