Through BCCA’s Children’s Gardening Program, our children connect with nature while growing fresh fruits and vegetables, enjoying hands-on learning that supports creativity, wellbeing, and growth.

BCCA congratulates Efrain as a winner of the New York Islanders Multicultural Patch Contest which represents a powerful tribute to culture, identity, and community! He was recognized at the New York Islanders game on March 13 at the UBS Arena for his creative and meaningful patch design representing Mexico.

Efrain’s recognition highlights the exceptional artistic talent within BCCA’s Integrated Arts Program which highlights how creativity can unite, inspire, and help students express themselves.

A gift of any size matters because when we come together, we can make a great impact on the lives of our children and their families!

Happy International Women's Day! We are so grateful for all the amazing women in our BCCA family, including our mothers, grandmothers, Women’s Literacy program participants, teachers, and supporters, who make a lasting impact on our children's lives. Our Women's Literacy Program empowers mothers to develop their reading skills, build confidence, and improve English fluency. We are proud to celebrate the incredible women in our community!

This week our students took part in the Great Kindness Challenge!

They learned about what it means to be kind in simple, meaningful ways; from sharing, to using kind words, they showed how small actions can make a big impact.

We are proud of the kindness we see in our classrooms every day and grateful for the caring community our students help create.

Snow day ❄️

A core part of our curriculum is teaching children to care for one another. Sometimes that looks like helping a friend zip up their coat before heading out into the cold.

Happy Thanksgiving! As we celebrate, we give thanks to you
for the joyful experiences YOU help to make possible. Our students saw The Lion King on Broadway and walked away inspired, curious, and full of excitement! BCCA is so grateful to our community partners, supporters, and friends. We thank the National Charity League - Garden City Chapter and the Junior League of Long Island for their partnership and generous donations of Thanksgiving bundles for our children, families, and staff!
