Born in 1984 in Valencia, Spain, Sandra Tomas Roig Ryder discovered her passion for dance at the tender age of 6. Her dance journey encompasses a rich variety of styles, from ballet and flamenco to commercial dance, Latin dance, and acrobatic rock. At 18, Sandra embarked on a significant chapter by joining the Professional Conservatory of Ballet in Valencia. There, she not only honed her skills bu
t also took on soloist roles in iconic productions like “Esmeralda,” “Giselle,” and “Paquita.”
In 2008, Sandra leaped across continents to Japan, captivating audiences with her performances as she took on principal roles in a classic jazz show with the esteemed company “Shima Spain Mura.” Upon returning to Spain, she graced the stage at the Opera “The Palace of Arts and Sciences, Queen Sofia’s Palace” on Valencia. The allure of international stages drew her to France in 2009, where Sandra danced for renowned theaters in Paris, including The National Opera Bastille, Opera Châtelet, The Cannes Festival Palais, Zénit (Rouen), Cigale theater of Paris, and more. Her versatility extended to performances at Disneyland Paris, the International Salsa Congress of Paris, and the Pau Brasil Cabaret, where she showcased her talent in the vibrant French Cancan at the iconic Eiffel Tower. Sandra’s artistry transcended live performances to feature in TV commercials and national television appearances, such as the “Sidaction Gala of humor” on France Chanel 4. Her presence is also felt in professional music videos, including collaborations with artists like Daddy Yankee and Big Ali. Notably, she graced fitness DVDs promoted by Special K and brought her energy to the musical movie “La véritable histoire de Blanche Neige” on France Chanel 2. From 2015 to 2017, Sandra took her talents to the high seas, working as a dance specialist, instructor, and choreographer aboard Celebrity Cruises. Since 2020, Sandra has been sharing her passion and expertise, teaching Latin dance classes at 171 Cedar Art Center. Her influence extends to Ithaca, where she imparts the art of acrobatics for Latin dances, leaving an indelible mark on aspiring dancers in the local community.
