American Family Karate & Jujitsu Self-Defense is an Essential Life Skill! At AFKJ we believe self-defense is an essential life skill. You are never too old to start!

In your lifetime (or your child’s), you will almost certainly face the threat of physical violence (often unavoidably and through no fault of your own). At American Family Karate & Jujitsu we believe self-defense is an essential life skill. When you (or your child) are attacked, it doesn’t matter how hard you try, without proper training and technique you will panic, thrash & most likely fail. The

day you are confronted by a bully ask yourself; do you have the tools & confidence to stay calm, protect yourself and those you love, survive and fend for yourself? AKT Combatives-Jujitsu is a modern, comprehensive reality-based personal protection combatives system; addressing all ranges, angles and planes of attack using strikes, kicks, throws, takedowns, grappling, chokes, joint locks, submissions and modern weapons training. The AKT Combatives-Jujitsu curriculum is taught in a traditional martial arts format, with belt promotions based on a cumulative integrated progression of concepts and techniques. We also offer a sport application of the acquired skillset in Sport Jujitsu. But American Family Karate & Jujitsu is not just about self-defense and fighting. Our goal is to build outstanding citizens who can also protect themselves and those unable to protect themselves. We also work to empower our students to achieve their fullest personal potential and become a life-long learner and continue to seek knowledge as a warrior-scholar dedicated not only to self-defense and martial arts training but also to character development and leadership training based on the character tenets of: Respect, Integrity, Self-Discipline, Confidence, Leadership, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Indomitable Spirit. We are committed to providing uplifting martial arts instruction to families and individuals who want a challenge and a change. Whether your goal is fitness, self-defense, tournament competition or confidence, Martial Arts can fill your needs. Fight for Zane! was a great success! We were so excited to see Zane on the mats! Sydney did a great job on her black belt project! She ended up having 16 fighters who fought a total of 657 Rounds for Zane!!! There wasn't a dry Gi in the place! Thank you to each fighter, volunteer and sponsor!! Fighters - please get your finals pledges in to Sydney this week!
